His Smile Says it All

Bua Charles and his community now have access to clean water.
At 80 years old and resident of Apoke, Otuke district, Bua is overjoyed to see his community having access to clean water.
His sacrifice of having the borehole drilled on his land has transformed many lives with over 100 households benefitting from the water source.
"For years, we longed for clean water," Bua recalls. "But we suffered, collecting water from a swamp, shared with animals. The water was contaminated, and we would wait for it to settle, then sieve it through a cloth."
But since October 2024, Bua and his community have been enjoying clean water, thanks to the new borehole. His eyes sparkled with relief and gratitude.
"Clean water has changed our lives, and I'm proud have played a part in making it happen." he said.
