In 2007, Lifeline introduced the rocket stove to Burundese and Congolese refugees in two Tanzanian camps situated in Kasulu district and to impoverished Tanzanians living in the neighboring district of Kibondo.
Working with UNHCR, CARE International, and REDSO Lifeline provided vital technical assistance and material support, which has led to the production of more than 500 stoves.
