Embracing an entrepreneurial spirit, a bottom-up philosophy to development and a flexible operational approach, Lifeline sees itself as a warrior in the fight against world poverty and global warming.
To this end, Lifeline is focused on two of the most basic essentials of life: fire and water. Our vision is a world in which no one has to drink filthy water or to cook on a three-stone fire.
Playing its part to make that vision a reality, Lifeline operates in the trenches – fighting in the most remote regions of Africa to change both the water its poorest inhabitants use to drink and the primitive methods they use to cook.
To make these changes, Lifeline uses weapons that can get it the most bang for every buck it spends: cost-effective technologies and self-sustaining interventions that give vulnerable individuals the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty and become more productive members of their societies.
