Sustainable, pro-community innovation at work. Take a tour of the waste management and briquette production center in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Here, plastic is recycled and waste paper turned into briquettes that are used to fuel institutional stoves in schools across the city. Lifeline has currently provided 25 schools with 100 of these carbon-neutral institutional stoves and will distribute an additional 400 in the fall.
